Energizing Smoothie

It's not uncommon for me to think I "deserve" a caffeinated frozen beverage. It's energizing when mothering and pregnancy have me lagging, refreshing when I'm overheated, and just simply indulging. Today, despite the strong conviction to stop by Starbucks, I instead made my own energy-boosting, cooling and indulging frozen beverage. It was also my first smoothie-making experience without the professional around. (You're still the best smoothie-maker, Daniel!)

It turned out so delicious, satisfying and so much better for baby and me than the alternative. Gotta say, the natural energy boost is better than caffeine any day.

Here's what was in it:
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1-2 TBSP peanut butter (that's what I get for not writing it down right away)
  • sprinkling uncooked oats
  • 1-2 TBSP cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • couple pieces Ice
  • small squeeze honey
  • 1 cup (or so) soymilk (yeah, definitely should've written it down)
