Indulgence #297: Buy New Makeup

I was long overdue for new make-up. Three years ago my sister-in-law introduced me to Bare Minerals and Bare Escentuals by gifting it to me for my wedding. I fell in love with its light feel and the fresh look it gave my blemished skin. Not yet in a place where I could justify spending the money on more, I tried Cover Girl's mineral makeup and was less than impressed. But to not waste the $10 on face powder, I continued using it despite it being the wrong color and being nothing like my beloved Bare Minerals.

With the washing of my make-up brushes after unsolicited acne advice from a stranger at a church retreat (see previous post), I decided it was also time to buy new make-up. After some research and checking the Cosmetic Safety Reviews (I'm trying to be more conscientious about choosing low hazard products), I decided on Physicians Formula. I checked Wal-mart and three different Targets, none of which had the Organic Wear I wanted, and I was a little too antsy to order it on Amazon. So, I settled. But I am still very pleased with the product, color and price. Best part of this indulgence is finding makeup that matches my face. No more wasting good face days on the wrong color.
