If We Only Knew that These are the Good Ol' Days

If only we knew in the good ol' days that those were the good ol' days.

Something from last night's series finale of The Office struck me in a way only a comedy trimmed with truth can. I tried to remember exactly what Andy (Ed Helms' character) said, but the words in the photo above were as close as I could get.

How we always look back on some golden-lined time in the past. What we later call "the good ol' days." A time when, of course, we rarely saw the good lying all around us.

So excuse me while I take a break from my usual ramblings and simply...

...enjoy these good ol' days while they last.

The end of a thing is better than its beginning;
Do not say, “Why were the former days better than these?”
In the day of prosperity be joyful. | Ecclesiastes 7:8, 10, 14
