I remember when my sister and I discovered May Day. I don't remember how... maybe through mom or school. All I remember is the incessant paper basket making and decorating, and picking flowers (or what some call weeds) to fill our miniature baskets. Then, leaving them at our neighbors doors, ringing the bell and running away.
It was such a joy to put thought and effort into bringing joy into someone else's day.
And I get to repeat that on some level through this month's giveaway--a May Day basket of sorts. (Or maybe even a Mother's Day re-gift?)
