Ceiling Bookshelf

Apartment Therapy has an awesome idea for a bookshelf. It's a long board/shelf hung around the room about 15" from the ceiling used for books. The benefits:

• frees up floor space so that we could add a comfy chair and lamp for a small reading nook
• safer than the unsturdy bookshelf we have now and bitty-boop wouldn't be getting into things on the shelf
• heightens a small room
• creates an airy feeling that isn't there with our big shelf
• keeps books accessible yet out of the way for how little they're actually used/read

Then of course a fold-up step ladder or sturdy ottoman would help short ones like me to reach everything. I'm thinking in our place it could be just in the corner and along the wall where our desk is. Oh the possibilities!
